Kerry "Thinking Hard" about 2008

We all knew after Kerry lost in 2004 that he would run again in 2008... So why is he still pretending a) that he's not already decided to run again and b) that he actually has a chance to win his party's nomination a second time?

Former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said on Thursday he was seriously thinking about another White House bid in 2008 and will decide before the year is out.

"I will make that decision toward the end of the year, but I'm thinking about it hard," Kerry said in response to a question at the Latin Economic Forum at the United Nations.

"If you can get help me find 60,000 votes in Ohio ...," he joked, referring to the close race in that state on which his 2004 loss to President Bush hinged.

What a loser.

Who cares. I hope he does decide to run. It will make it easier for the Republican candidate. The guy is a loser who depends on his wife's money to live. Besides, what about Hillary? I'm looking forward to the '08 race to see which Democratic idiot makes it onto the ticket.

"Calamitous presidents, faced with enormous difficulties - Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Hoover and now Bush - have divided the nation, governed erratically and left the nation worse off. In each case, different factors contributed to the failure: disastrous domestic policies, foreign-policy blunders and military setbacks, executive misconduct, crises of credibility and public trust. Bush, however, is one of the rarities in presidential history: He has not only stumbled badly in every one of these key areas, he has also displayed a weakness common among the greatest presidential failures - an unswerving adherence to a simplistic ideology that abjures deviation from dogma as heresy, thus preventing any pragmatic adjustment to changing realities. Repeatedly, Bush has undone himself, a failing revealed in each major area of presidential performance."

Well, actually, Matt,

John Kerry was for running again in 2008.... before he was against it.

The finger is still in the air, so the final decision hasn't been made yet.

I'm sure that America is on the edge of our collective seats, and waiting with bated breath for his latest pronouncement...

Loser with a Capital "L."

Yeah he's no "Decider in Chief"!

There must be a capable, stable person with basic intelligence and a good grasp of the international situation who would be willing to give America back it's credibility. Surely, somewhere in the great U.S.A. there is someone, regardless of party affiliation, competent enough to rescue the country from this muddle.

John Kerry should not run again.

But if Republicans would stop stealing elections, allow all votes to be counted then Democrats would surely have the power in government that Americans truly desire.

The current Republican Party operates like the Mafia with rigged voting machines, crooked campaign chairmen in charge of elections and bought off judges.

Democrats represent more Americans and more votes are cast for Democratic senators and representatives because of the way districts are apportioned.

Bush had a more effective campaign team because they were uninhibited by fair play and ethics.

Wade

Surely he is aware that he lost by more than 60,000 votes in Ohio?

According to the US National Archives, Senator Kerry lost Ohio by 118,599 votes.

The spin starts once again.

Oh please run Kerry in '08. oh please, oh please, oh please, oh please...

"Guys" with "views" like muirgeo are such an utter and complete waste of time... Your brain is for thinking bub. You should try it sometime rather than puke up the mind numbingly predictable left wing drivel.

Speaking of puke, have I mentioned lately how much the democRATS make me want to vomit?

I think Warner or Feingold will win the nomination.

Kerry is better left in the senate, as is clinton.

PFC

Why did you keep Abe Lincoln out of that? He "divided" a nation too supposedly. It's interesting the selective process you guys take.

DAV, if Feingold wins he will be clobbered. His approval rating in Wisconsin hasn't been good but the GOP there is such a joke they can't get it together.

Warner would be a good candidate and one that many Republicans could probably vote for. The problem is that he isn't a lunactic fringe like Kerry, Feingold, Pelosi, Boxer, etc so could he even get through the primary on the Democrats side?

Warner's got a shot at the primary for sure. There will always be a field of candidates that can't make it to teh actual nomination.

Kerry's defeat in 2004 is like the kiss of death, and he won't be nominated again. He's no Nixon.

Actually it was James Buchanan whose timidity and inability to lead that allowed the country to be split. Lincoln inherited the situation.

sKerry never stopped thinking about running again. But, if he thinks the SwiftBoat guys did him in, just wait until the Hildebeast goes after him.

I just love watching them eat their own.

"But if Republicans would stop stealing elections, allow all votes to be counted then Democrats would surely have the power in government that Americans truly desire." What?
Wade, all I have to say is prove it. Don't recite from the Liberal playbook. Either offer some bloody proof or shut up.

Posted by: Don at April 22, 2006 10:35 PM

Don,

That is just Wade all over - and most of the left, into the bargain; They really think the Republican Party is the biggest problem America faces.

Wade,

More voters in Democratic districts? Have you checked out California? Democrats don't like a lot of voters in their districts...causes no end of trouble.
