Happy Easter to all our Christian readers.
This is the first Easter in a very long time where I consider myself an actual devout believer - it is a strange and wonderful feeling.
It is the Spring of a new year, and so I hope that everyone will have a time of renewal. Cast off the worries of the past and prepare with hope for the challenges of the future.
UPDATE: And people of all faiths, please pray for those who believe, and are persecuted for their beliefs:
Egypt's Coptic Christians came under attack again yesterday as one was stabbed to death and at least 12 wounded in four of their churches.
Within the space of an hour, three places of worship were targeted in the centre of Alexandria and a fourth in Abu Qir, 15 miles east of the city...
...Farida Mikhael, the sister of one victim, was worshipping in St George's church in Alexandria when the attacker struck.
"As we were entering the church I saw a man holding two swords who shouted at us 'unbelievers, unbelievers!'" she said.

It is nice to put politics aside for a day and celebrate what is probably the most important day in Christianity. It truly is a wonderful thing that God sent his son to die for us, so that we may cast our sins on him. It gives meaning to our lives knowing that humanity is not a freak accident of nature and I truly wish more people could realize and have faith in the greatest love of all. Happy Easter and God Bless America!

Happy Easter to Mark & my other brothers & sisters out there! It truly is a day of remebrance & celebration! I know many people may find this hard to believe, but a few friends, my wife and I spend the afternoon(after church service) watching, crying, and discussing " The Passion of Christ". It's a great time of renewal, resolve, & respect! I hope you all enjoy your Easter as much!!!

Happy Easter Bunny everyone. I don't really celebrate Easter except for the Bunny part of it. Should be lots of eggs to find in the morning followed by a good chocolate buzz.....ahhhh Pagenism.....now that's for me.

Mark, Happy Easter to you and your new-ish bride. You are an inspiration to all Christians, even we who could be doing more to serve our Lord. Your tolerance and compassion is above reproach; I only wish I could emulate your lack of distain for the uninformed.
Let's hope this day brings peace and reflection to all, and let's hope our less-tolerant trolls can refrain, for one day, impugning those of us who are believers.
May God Bless you all...

Mark?
This is the first Easter that you feel yourself an actual, devout believer?? Well....that's wonderful! Welcome to the City of Hope! But now, you do understand what happens to true believers? They become the target of the enemy, in a Really Big Way. Now that you've publicly stated your colors, your flag, your standing, prepare for an onslaught. But not to fear, we win and lose some battles, but the War is already won. I shall be praying that you are strengthened for the work you do right in this blog...the forwarding of the truth, the spread of reason. And I pray for those whose ears are still closed to that truth. Blessed Easter to all followers of Christ who are reading this.

"Egypt's Coptic Christians came under attack again yesterday as one was stabbed to death and at least 12 wounded in four of their churches"
Last night the History channel broadcast a documentary on the genocide of the the Armenian Christians in Turkey (1915-1916). This was a government sponsored, muslim led ethnic cleansing of the Armenian Christian community in which over 1 million Christians were killed. To this day the Turkish government refuses to acknowledge these events as genocide.
For all of you muslim apologists who wish to blame the US for events in the middle east, I would suggest that you read about this stain on human history which occured less than one century ago in waht we could call modern history.
This program should be mandatory for all public school children, and should be repeated regularly until we understand the mind of those who call themselves muslims.
Once you leftist have studied this tragedy event then tell me if you still believe that Islam is the religion of peace.
