The Associated Press reports that Bush, likely on the verge of bring in some new staff, is waiting on recommendations from his new Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten...
"I told Josh that he will organize the White House in such a way that he is comfortable with and that meets my needs," Bush responded when asked if there would be far-reaching changes at the White House under Bolten. "And my needs are to have good crisp information so I can make decisions on behalf of the American people. And I look forward to Josh's recommendations as to how to get this White House to — for the last two and a half years of my administration — to continue to function in an effective way.
I remember the media making a big deal of changes in the administration between his first and second terms, as if such occurances are a rariety in presidencies... which we know is not true. Still, I expect this whole situation to be picked apart by the media and blown out of proportion...

"And my needs are to have good crisp information so I can make decisions on behalf of the American people."
The understatement of the century.
By the way, you anal sheep are always criticizing people's writing habits here (Queefer, are you listening?), I wonder what you think about a President that has the public speaking ability of a 12 year old: "good crisp information."
Yeah, or something like that.

So George Bush has exhibited some flexibility and is open to changes in his staff/administration. Now what will the antique media have to say about his stubbornness and his being "in a bubble?"
I suppose they'll find some way to spin it that the President and his administration is in a free-fall and he has to do this to "save" his Presidency...
Right...

*Sigh*
That's all you could come up with on the first pass Maf? I think you're slipping.
Honestly, I don't think the President can even walk five feet without someone having something to complain about it. (I don't like how he swaggers, it's too "un-presidential!") Seriously if you folks want to complain about anything and everything feel free, but I have to wonder how much that affects your health.

Nobody really cares who he staffs in the Administration - oh wait a bit, Jabba the Hutt of MSNBC, who "broke the Delay Story" will. The un-MSM will then say he had to do it. On a side note, I keep hearing rumors that CNN had a very poor ratings period.

Joshua Bolton does not distinguish himself significantly from Andrew Card to be considered a change. Before you lift the bonehead moniker from President Bush, lets see Who's on first if and when he makes changes.

And Leon Panetta did not distinguish himself significantly from David Gergen. Well duh?

You guys all know four sure that this hard thinking choice gotta be done by someone else. I ‘member when I was tryin’ to pick which one ma cousins I was gun kiss, and which I Was gun let go. It was such a hard choice you know, and when matters like this people get so sentive and all.
I knew if I chose one the other’d be sure heart broken. Then I was thinkin’ what their Mama would tell my mama, them bein’ sisters and all. I could be ain a sure lick of trouble if I wurnt careful in my choosin.
So to keep the disgruntled and unselected of my lovin’ cousins. I let my best rooster do the pickin. Both girls knelt down and held seed in their hand when I let the cock out of his cage. The hand which he ate out of was the hand I would take to be ma girl.
So you can bet that after this decision makin’ was through one of ma perty cousins wadn’t too pleased with the outcome, me being so good lookin and all. My best rooster may have ended up in the cooking pot, but the girls kept thir lips sealed regardin’ them illegal activities we waz doin’ behind the shine still.
Bush be doin the right thing on this here decision. If he does the firin’ may hap be that someone’s lips will get loose about them activities he weren’t supposed to be doin. This way he can shift the blame to the new chief of staff rather then outright one of them staffers.

Changes will be cosmetic mostly. Bush's dilemma is that he could win back valuable approval points by cutting loose Karl Rove who is just too closely linked to Delay, Abramoff and the Plame affair. However the President is unlikely to do this because with his administration in free fall Rove is someone he needs around more than ever. Its a catch 22.
Replacing a few undersecretaries for this and that is just ignoring the elephant in the room.
