Gore On Bush and 9/11

Besides blaming Bush for global warming, Al Gore also attacked our President over 9/11

Warning that Bush and the Republican Congress have displayed "a blinding lack of awareness" about "the worst catastrophe in the history of human civilization" — global warming — Gore also blames the incumbent for ignoring the threat of 9/11.

Bush "was warned on Aug. 6, 2001, of an attack by Al Qaeda. 'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US,' said the intelligence community in a message so important that it was the headline of the President's daily briefing that day, five weeks before the attacks," Gore seethes.

"Didn't he see that clear warning?" asks Gore. "Why were no questions asked, meetings called, evidence marshaled, clarifications sought?"

We've already debunked the myth that the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing warned us about 9/11, but I'd like to remind everyone of Al Gore's words shortly after 9/11...

Saying the country is more united than ever, former Vice-President Al Gore Saturday pledged his allegiance to the man he conceded victory to last year in one of the closest presidential elections in American history.

"George W. Bush is my commander in chief," Gore said during the keynote speech at the Iowa Democratic Party's 2001 Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner.

Gore, sporting the greying beard he grew while vacationing in Europe earlier this year, commended Bush on his leadership in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.

"We are united behind our president George W. Bush, behind our country, behind the effort to seek justice not revenge, to make sure this can never, ever happen again, and to make sure that we have the strongest unity in America that we have ever had," Gore said.

Having once commended Bush's leadership, declaring "George W. Bush is my commander in chief," Gore decides that in the present time it's more important to play politics, and deteriorate any last atom of unity this country had following 9/11. The unity we experienced after 9/11 is been long gone... spit-on and thrown into the garbage by power-hungry Democrats who are fighting a war against President Bush, and not the terrorists.

The Democrats are truly desperate. You know that when the former Vice-President has to lie about the contents of the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing in order to attack Bush it's a sign of desperation.

Reading Gore's more recent words makes even more grateful that President Bush won in 2000. Al Gore would have been a horrible leader... George W. Bush has proven that winning the war on terror is more important to him than politics...

Matt,
Do you suppose that alGore is behaving like a barking moonbat to make Hilary look deliberative by comparison?

"We are united behind our president George W. Bush, behind our country, behind the effort to seek justice not revenge"

I believe that once the perception that the words justice and revenge had been changed, so were a lot of people's minds. Not just Gore.

The so called "War on Terror" is nothing but a cynical slogan to justify this administration's policy on everything from domestic spying and budget deficits to the illegal invasion of a foreign country. The WoT has never been anything but a political tool of this administration.

The evidence is easy enough to see -- the administration gave up on pursuing UBL in order to fulfill the neocon dream of toppling Saddam -- how does that forward any "objective" in the WoT?

Mr. Bush had his "bullhorn moment" and, had he genuinely sought to bring the culprits of 9/11 to justice, he might still enjoy some support outside his "base." Instead, he has turned the majority of the country against his wrong-headed and dangerous policies. Mr. Gore was among those who were slow on the uptake -- though he apparently gets it now.

Like the boy who cried, "wolf," Mr. Bush has spent his credibility capital and can invoke "the WoT" 'til he's blue in the face -- we're not listening.

(sigh ) That does go along way in explaining why he was re-elected in overwhelming numbers.

On the otherhand Al Gore, we are indeed not listening anymore

Not that we ever did

Got me to thinking about that pissant Gore. I was once behind him in line at a counter in the Memphis airport....in his pre-tubby days...long skinny and in a hurry (can't say he's emaciated from global warming.. ha ha). He came off stoopid and obnoxious to the clerk, and I never liked him since. He bought Juicy Fruit, so it kinda figures. Besides..isn't he the guy who as vice president was at the Jefferson Memorial, and asked an attendant who the bust of Jefferson was? ha ha He sure got a good liberal education in his private schooling. He has now been touched by the looney monkey; too bad that has happened to the inventor of the internet.

"We've already debunked the myth that the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing warned us about 9/11"
~Matt Margolis

Huh?

"...Nevertheless, FBI information since that time indicates patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings or other types of attacks, including recent surveillance of federal buildings in New York..."
~August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing

Sooooo, what exactly did you debunk?
Admittedly it didn't say "Terrorists are going to fly planes into the World Trade Center on 9/11." But he should have at least called a few meetings or asked some questions.

But lets say that it didn't contain the above quote, 'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US' is enough to say "Gee, this sounds like something I should try to look at."

But I digress, everyone was behind Bush and America after 911. (Yes, I know that it seems unimaginable but even *Gasp* Al-Gore!) But after the dust had cleared, people said "this was awful, how can we stop this from happening again?" and people looked around and found that Bush ignored warnings like this and allowed it to happen.

If anyone has been crying "Wolf" for the past 4 and a half years, it's been the foaming-at-the-mouth Dems and their shrill band of whiny weasels. Whether it be the President's choice of Federal judgeships, an energy bill, immigration reform, or any other item on the national agenda, all I've heard from the likes of Ted ("can't swim") Kennedy, Nancy (Doe-in-the-headlights) Pelosi, Harry (Looks-like-an-undertaker) Reid, Dick (Turban) Durbin, John (For-it-before-I-was-against-it) Kerry, and a host of "luminaries" from the Clinton Administration is whining, whining, and more whining.

Anyone can assert that the War on Terror is a strawman, or a handy excuse for the President ot "continue to usurp his powers," or however you want to phrase it. But the reality remains: This nation was deliberately and maliciously attacked on September 11, 2001. No amount of diversionary rhetoric will change that fact.

Al Gore is just a bitter "almost-was" and is crying in his soured milk. The Democrats in general, and their lunatic far-left-wing constituency specifically seek to drag this Administration down by any means neccessary, including outright lies and propaganda. They don't care that there is an enemy at the door. They are so mired in their misery and hatred for our President, that they would drag this nation into the mud in their zeal to hound this President out of power.

Good luck to the political pirhanas that have one burning objective above all - to unseat the President.

This nation has listened to the litany of "wolf" being echoed across the country by these illegitimate "leaders" of the Democrat party. America is, in a word, unimpressed.

The silver lining in all of this acrimony, however, is that at least, finally, America gets to see what the Dems stand for - nothing other than their rise to power.

So to Al Gore and all of the miserable lowlives out there who cannot stand that this nation has chosen somone other than the Democrats to lead our country, I say: "Get used to it. Your party is dying, and all you seem to be able to do, is continue to push it over the cliff of credibility..."

Ever read Nostradamus’ quatrains? The translations, I mean. It’s so easy to pick out a verse here or allusion there and say, “(T)his sounds like something I should try to look at”. If we had only read his predictions we could’ve saved JFK! (or some other absurdity) It is quite another thing to pour over mountains of information, some credible, some not, and decide where to concentrate our National security efforts.

When Grey Davis ordered thousands of National Guard troops to guard bridges in California because of a “possible” threat, he was demonized by the press for being an alarmist. Would you, as Commander in Chief shut down every airport, stop every train, close every highway every time a brief came across your desk that said, “… determined to attack …”? Would you authorize the NSA to pick up all signals intercepts that might be terrorist related?

I find it amazing how wrong liberals have been throughout my lifetime, and how many times I’ve heard them say they could have done better.

Tell me, liberals, where and from whom is the next attack coming?

I wish the poster, who indicated the drugs that Gore had to be put on after losing the election,
would come forward again with that news and info.
Gore, was a 'career politician' from day one, and
when he got his chance under Clinton, what did the
two(and Hillary, makes three) of them, do to secure our nation? FACT: NOT MUCH.

We have had numerous attacks on Americans prior to
9/11, and on the Clinton Watch, they treated it in
a manner of "shame on you, and turned it over to the polic, to be handled as a 'police matter-NOT
TERRORISM".......I HAVE SAID CONTINUALLY-IF YOU KEEP FORGETTING THAT 9/11 WAS THE "SECOND ATTACK ON THE WTC"..."I WILL KEEP POSTING ON THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN, AND OVER"....

Clinton and his cronies, were totally inept at the
prospect of Terrorists, and when WE, IN AMERICA APPEARED WEAK AND VULNERABLE(AS THE TERRORISTS, DID THINK WE WERE BY OUR RESPONSES) AND THEY DID THINK WE WERE "PUSHOVERS"....THUS, we were attacked AGAIN on 9/11 - "for the second time".
Bush was only in office under 8 mos. when this occurred, as "HE INHERITED THE TERRORISM PROBLEMS OF HIS 'PREDECESSORS'...ALL THREE:CLINTON-WHO SPENT THE LAST 1 1/2 YRS. "NOT HANDLING HIS OFFICE
PROPERLY, BUT DEFENDING HIS MORALLY DECADENT LIFE,
AND LYING TO IMPEDE AN INVESTIGATION, (ALONG WITH
HILLARY'S HELP-even off camera, as HE sat and lied
directly to the American people) ALL THIS, WHILE
GORE WAS HOPPING IN AND OUT OF PLACES LIKE 'CHINA'
FUNDRAISING FOR HIS OWN BENEFIT, (when he didn't know he WAS ACTUALLY FUNDRAISING??)

Since Clinton gutted the 'funding of our intel agencies, drove down the morale of our military and closed many bases, etc.) and didn't keep his eye on the ball of Terrorism-"HE HANDED THIS MESS OF TERRORISM(WHICH he emboldened and empowered)OFF TO THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATION.

As for Aug.6th, there was nothing defining in the
'chatter that came across to our intel-nothing that would have included nutty Terrorists flying planes into our buildings. But they did, and Bush
has handled their deeds and killing over 3,000 as
HE had to. Instead of all the Bush-Haters, and
Bashers, coming together to fight this war on terrorists, they on the liberal left, HAVE TOTALLY
DIVIDED THE COUNTRY, "ONCE AGAIN, ENABELING AND EMPOWERING OUR ENEMIES"...JUST LIKE THE DAYS OF THE CLINTON/GORE TEAM. BUT THIS TIME, THANK GOD,
WE HAVE A COMMANDER IN CHIEF, THAT IS WILLING TO PUT HIS OWN CAREER ON THE LINE FOR WHAT HE KNOWS HE MUST DO: FIGHT THESE TERRORISTS WHEREVER THEY
ARE, TO LET THEM KNOW, WE IN AMERICA, "WON'T BE SITTING DUCKS", AND YOU, WHO HAVE HIJACKED A TRUE
RELIGION INTO RADICALISM, WILL PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE. "WE (EVEN WITHOUT THE DEMOCRATS-who are only interested in their party's survival and their own political careers) AS AMERICANS, WHO WILL STAND UP TO YOU AND YOUR WANTING TO CONVERT ALL PEOPLE TO "YOUR RADICAL VERSIONS OF ISLAM-
AND GO BACK TO LIVING IN CAVES, WILL LOSE"

IN A TIME OF WAR, AS HISTORY HAS SHOWN, IT IS TOO
BAD, THAT IN THE PRESENT DAY CLIMATE THOSE THAT WOULD RATHER SEE OUR COUNTRY DEFEATED, BECAUSE THEY HATE THE PRESIDENT SO MUCH, ARE NOT BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES OF TREASON. THIS, IS EXACTLY WHAT
THE 'DIVIDERS OF VIET NAM DID, AND THEY ARE TRYING
THE SAME GAME THIS TIME....EXCEPT NOW, THEY TOO, RISK BEING "BLOWN UP ALONG WITH THEIR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS- RIGHT WHERE THEY LIVE - HERE IN AMERICA.

Yeah its tough to hear anything when you've got your head buried in the sand.

C'mon now, Saliva ain't got his head buried in the sand; his head is up AlGore's arse.

It's funny how all these armchair quarterbacks--read kookbats--know exactly what the administration was doing about the PDB, as if it were being dismissed.

Kookbats, I know that AlGore, Al-Dean, and Al-Franken are your idols, but that doesn't make them the most credible people in the world. They're idiots, and you're morons if you believe one-hundredth of anything they say. I take that back--you're morons, regardless. You kooks are priceless-thanks for the laughs!

Posted by: keefer [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 10:15 PM

Wow Jo.
You need to take a breath. Your hatred of Clinton is unrivaled.

Keefer, you kill me. If you're not calling someone a name, you are bringing up Dean and Al Franken. And using "Kook" or "Kookbats" three times in one posting????

Posted by: Sick of Lies [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 10:35 PM

Sick,

Your responses to me are tiresome...I stated:

I will keep posting on the history of the Clintons
as they are why we are in this mess today with regard to Terrorism. If you don't like my posts:
F OFF....You, are no expert at anything, not even writing something coherent.Like most lefties,
all you do is critique..tiresome-get a life Sick.

Ho,

We enjoyed an age of peace and prosperity during the Clinton years. It was only when paranoid repuglicans took office that things went downhill. The Repugs ALWAYS need an enemy out there scaring ya so you take your eye off the ball. Which in this case is "terrorism". Then they stick their hand in your wallet and redistribute it to the wealthiest among us.

Posted by: Ash [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 11:15 PM

Ash-hole,

With the Republicans in charge, and Reagonomics,
there was a legacy of financial successes left behind thanks to them....Clinton didn't do much to
deserve that, but he did. Some peace and prosperity, Vince Foster killed himself, rather than face the music of Hillary/Bill's skeltons. A
long list of people in jail under 'his rule'(guess
you forgot...
You, A.H., don't know what the hell you are talking about, and should remember if nothing else
the Americans 3,000+ killed-instead of making it a
"pretend situation"...terrorism.

By the way A..hole, I will NO LONGER respond to your idiotic posts, so write whatever you want, as
you are not worth my time or effort.

Posted by: Jo [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 11:26 PM

Keefer,

You forgot to add Al-Quaeda....that's who these nuts think are the "real heros..."

Posted by: Jo [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 11:30 PM

Back atcha, Ho. Good thing to do when you've been wupted.

Posted by: Ash [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 11:33 PM

Ho says: "the Americans 3,000+ killed,

Was tragic but was it a good reason for us to further sacrifice 2,000 + of our troops and 100,000 Iraqis? Create a situation that our dear President admits he has no way out of so he will "punt" to the next president?

Why is your world so full of hatred?

Posted by: Ash [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 3, 2006 11:39 PM

Attention American Citizens:

The World Trade Center buildings collapsed due to explosives that were pre-installed into the buildings (by your own government) prior to September 11, 2001. On that day, 2,819 innocent Americans were needlessly killed.

And, you are doing absolutely nothing about it.

You do not deserve to have any constitutional rights you spineless bastards!

Mud-slinging mush-brained Matt Margolis is at it again: because Gore said after 9/11 that Bush was his "Commander in Chief" (a matter of fact since he is everyone's Commander in Chief in the U.S.) somehow means that Gore was "endorsing" Bush's political positions?

You hypocritically proclaim Bush as "tough on terrorists" and yet beleive he has no accountability for ignoring the PDB that blared "Bin Laden Determined to Attack U.S."?

Another puke faced pathetic moron suffering from rectal cranial inversion!

boy was that a quick iceage!

oh yea...where's the earth's bum into which the "scientists" insert the thermometer?

and, please recall it was the lefty god clinton who would not submit koyto to the senate...well, assuming koyto measures anything that has any real meaning.

hey charlie sheen is posting on b4b. welcome charlie. i loved hot shots part deux. funny stuff. much like you post.

You hypocritically proclaim Bush as "tough on terrorists" and yet beleive he has no accountability for ignoring the PDB that blared "Bin Laden Determined to Attack U.S."?

to say that was enough for the bush administration to stop the 9/11 attacks disqualifies you from posting anything about anything ever again.

from the book "disinformation":

a state dept intell officer said about handleing "warnings":

imagin your boss...placing a lunch-size brown bag twisted at the top on your desk and asking you to tell hime what the contents mean. dutifully, you untwist the bag and spill the contents on your desk. the contents are some sixty pieces of a puzzle. as yo look over the puzzle pieces you immediately notice that about one-third of them are blank, and another third appear to have edges that have been cut off. as you look at the pieces that have some part of a picture on them, you sense that this is really a mixture of about four different puzzles. now keep in mind that you have no box top to tell you what the puzzle shoud look like and you do not know how many pieces are in the puzzle...welcome to the art of terrorism analysis. we rarely see a majority or the pieces of a terrorist threat puzzle. when we do, action is taken.

the pdb was basically a historical reference, almost an encyclopidia entry, on al-queda. so how did the bush administration botch this? and where is your outrage of the clinton administration for making bin laden who he is.

oh btw, we did kill the man behind the 9/11 attacks. his name is kalid sheik-mohammed. obl is the leader but the sheik is the man who came up with and put the plot in motion.

Posted by: Falgore [TypeKey Profile Page] at April 5, 2006 02:54 PM

Democrats are truly desperate, considering they're leading in every single poll running up to the 2006 election. Whereas trashing a former Vice President isn't a sign of desperate fear by the GOP. At all. Really.
