History of Blogs For Bush

Blogs For Bush was a blog that covered the presidency of George W. Bush and organized bloggers who support the President.

Founded by Matt Margolis, Blogs For Bush was launched in November of 2003 with the purpose of organizing a community of pro-Bush bloggers during the 2004 presidential campaign, and encouraging grassroots activity on behalf of President Bush. It soon became one of the most popular blogs during the 2004 election, and was called "a must read everyday" by nationally syndicated radio talk show host and bestselling author Hugh Hewitt. By Election Day 2004, Blogs For Bush had amassed a blogroll of nearly 1,500 bloggers who supported President Bush's reelection. According to Intelliseek's BlogPulse, Blogs For Bush was one of the Top Blogs Cited in Political Postings, and ranked in the Top 30 of the Top Blogs Cited in 2004.

Blogs For Bush was also one of the first blogs to receive media credentials to cover the Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as media credentials for the 55th Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2005. In October 2005, Matt Margolis participated in a "Blog Row" on Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress. In January 2006, Matt Margolis and Mark Noonan were invited to a blogger forum on Capitol Hill, where they and other bloggers met with party leaders and strategists including Karl Rove.

In November 2007, Blogs For Bush relaunched as Blogs For Victory.
