Canada May End Over-The-Border Drug Sales

Does this mean liberal blue-staters are going to move to Canada now?
According to the article, an estimated 2 million Americans buy drugs from Canada over internet. This is has led to an increase in drug prices in Canada.
Just noting the irony.

Litigation’s Real-Life Impact

As effective as Vice President Cheney was in last night’s debate, he missed an opportunity to tie John Edwards’s trial lawyer background into current events on problems with health care. Because Chiron is one of just 2 remaining flu vaccine makers and was just shut down by British authorities, there will be a flu vaccine shortage this fall. It didn’t have to be this way, as the Manhattan Institute noted a year ago:

The recent flu epidemic has brought to the fore a serious public health concern: the vaccine shortage in America. As flu shots must be rationed by the only two manufacturers, many are left to wonder why our vaccines are in short supply.
A partial answer? The same nefarious culprit that afflicts so much of our national economy to the detriment of our health and safetyóthe expansion of liability driven by Trial Lawyers Inc.
Little wonder that the five remaining vaccine manufacturers in the U.S. have had to spend more time and money defending lawsuits than researching new vaccines, and that no new entrants are rushing to enter the market.
From the early to mid-1980s, as tort litigation exploded, the number of U.S. vaccine manufacturers fell from 15 to three.

Recall that this was a year ago, but trial lawyers, of which Edwards is a poster child, and their Democratic water-carriers in Congress still refuse to lift the litigation burden that injures our health care system. So while the trial lawyers fly from their mansions to their yachts on their private jets, average Americans face a shortage of flu vaccine. That’s how Edwards is fighting for us? Please, John, stop fighting.

Democrats Lawyer friends close down OB Unit in Ohio.

Democrats and their Lawyers friends, lawyers like John Edwards, have finally sued enough doctors to have a OB unit in Ohio closed down. If you are a family with a woman in labor in Conneaut, Ohio then Congratulations! You only have to drive 17 miles one way or 34 in the other to give birth. Better pray your newborn doesn’t wish to be born in the winter.

“Malpractice insurance costs have made it difficult for BMH to find certified personnel to provide necessary services, officials said.
ìWeíre in a real difficult situation regarding malpractice insurance,î Kraus said. ìOB units are traditionally the hardest hit.î

The Republican controlled House of Representatives passed H.R. 4571 by a vote of 229 to 174 just a few days ago, sending it on to the Senate, where Tom Daschel and the vast majority of the Democrat Senators will obstruct as usual.
Senator Tom Daschle (SD-D) is the leader of the Democrats in the Senate. After reviewing this chart that shows lawyers and law firms as his top donors, I have no doubt that the Democrats will be protecting the trial lawyers over our health care once again.
If Democrats get their way, we could all end up like Canada, where you have to wait in line for:

- 62 weeks for a hip replacement at Peter Lougheed Centre;
- 62 weeks for general surgery at Rocky- view General Hospital;
- 30 weeks for MRI scans at Foothills Medical Centre;
- 54 weeks for knee replacement surgery at Rockyview General Hospital;
- 11 weeks for cardiac surgery at Foothills Medical Centre.

John Kerry and John Edwards are indeed unfit to help with our National health care problems. That is due to the fact that they are a big part of the problem.

President Bush’s Domestic Agenda Suring-Up Healthcare

President Bush was in Michigan (sorry Wolverines . . . hehe I was there) pounding the table showing great distinctions between his Healthcare plan and Kerry’s montrously large (though few actually specifics) proposals:

I’m running against a fellow who’s put out a health care plan that is massive, it is complicated, it is a blueprint to have the government control your health care… That’s just the kind of plan you would expect from a senator from Massachusetts.

Be sure to check out the latest campaign ad here about the Healthcare proposals.

G.W. Bush is saving lives today.

“Does the fetus feel pain?”
This was the question asked by Judge Richard C. Casey to abortionist, ìDr.î Timothy Johnson.
The following was the exchange:

Johnson: “I guess whenever I …”
Judge Casey: “Simple question, doctor. Does it cross your mind?”
The abortionist said it did not.
Judge Casey: “Never crossed your mind?”
Johnson: “No.”
Judge Casey: “So you tell her the arms and legs are pulled off? I mean, that’s what I want to know. Do you tell her?”
Johnson: “We tell her the baby, the fetus, is dismembered as part of the procedure, yes.”
Casey asked if abortionists admitted to the mother about “sucking the brain out of the skull” of the baby.
Johnson: “I don’t think we would use those terms. I think we would probably use a term like ‘decompression of the skull’ or ‘reducing the contents of the skull.’”
Judge Casey: “Make it nice and palatable so that they wouldn’t understand what it’s all about?”
Johnson: “We try to do it in a way that’s not offensive or gruesome or overly graphic for patients.”

The president will sign ìThe Unborn Victims of Violence ActToday in Washington.
